The Man Born May 31, 1956 in Greenville, Mississippi. Evangelist Darrell Holt is a true soldier of Jesus Christ. Growing up with a loving father and mother, three brothers, three sisters, and loving the game of baseball, he developed a since of responsibility and direction for his life. He is devotedly married to Anita Holt, and between them both, they share a strong relationship with seven beautiful children. He is a strong, but compassionate individual, who deeply understands the importance of being matured, dedicated, proactive, and self-motivated. In addition, Darrell Holt understands the importance of being sincere. Being the backbone of his family, he focuses on the positive, and with God’s help steers them in the right direction. He believes strictly in God, and is a prime example of being led by the Spirit, and practices Christianity according to God’s Word, the Holy Bible.
The Christian Darrell Holt is a Christian first, and a Christian only. While walking through the valley of life, and being followed by the shadows of death, he met and contacted the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ on February 3, 1978 through immersion in water baptism. The word of God pierced straight through Darrell Holt’s heart, allowing him to be sealed with God’s Holy Spirit, whom, two days later, led him to preach his first public sermon.
Darrell Holt was faced with struggles and uphill battles. However, through God’s grace and mercy, he bore it all, and pressed toward the mark of his higher calling. He understood when he became a Christian he had a job to do, and a purpose to fulfill. His focus was no longer on himself and the life he left behind, but on Jesus and doing God’s will.
As a Christian, and a born again individual, Darrell Holt strongly believes in Jesus Christ. He believes that Jesus Christ built only one church, and it is that church, which is found in the Bible, whereby all men and women, boys and girls must be saved and a part of.
As a Christian, Darrell Holt has set his affections on things above, God and Heaven. He believes that Christians should not only talk the talk, but they should walk it as well. After being enjoined through marriage to his lovely wife Anita, of Starkville, Mississippi, they adopted the motto “The Lord’s Help” to describe where they came from, where they are going, and who they are going for.
The Evangelist Darrell Holt, the Evangelist is one of the most sought after gospel preachers in the United States. With the Lord’s Help, he focuses on winning souls for God. He believes in the fundamental idea of door knocking and face-to-face evangelism. With his latest publication, “Foot Soldiers for Christ,” Darrell Holt teaches the importance of the church’s mission, God’s plan of salvation, and unity among all men.
Since his baptism nearly thirty years ago, Evangelist, Darrell Holt has been preaching the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In 1980, he graduated from Little Rock, Arkansas, School of Religious Studies under the direction of Evangelist, Loyd Harris. He has been serving God in the capacity of full time ministry for 25 years, and within this time frame, Evangelist Darrell Holt served as the minister in local churches of Christ in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Michigan.
Being led by the Holy Spirit, and focusing on winning souls to Christ, Darrell Holt’s evangelistic ministry led him into debates on Adventism, Pentecostalism, and Mohammedanism. He has reached out, taught, and baptized several denominational preachers, which included three women preachers. Darrell Holt has done radio and television preaching, and led and participated in evangelistic campaigns throughout the Churches of Christ.
Evangelist Darrell Holt has enjoyed the works of some fruitful ministries. Evangelistic outreach has carried him into many states proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each year, then and now, he conducts revivals, workshops, gospel meetings, and appears on local and state lectureships/conferences. He is currently the speaker on the television program, “Facts from the Bible,” which he reaches out and teaches the gospel of Jesus Christ and how it can change the lives of all men. Moreover, Evangelist Darrell Holt’s ministry has been greatly blessed by God. Being inspired by God, he penned/written and authored seven books; “Muhammad is Dead,” “Hush The Holy Spirit is Talking,” “Christ, Cultures, Customs, and Commands;” “The Generational Curse;” “Denominations-Unlucky Number Seven,” “The Great Battle of Men and Women for the Pulpit,” and “Foot Soldiers for Christ.”
Currently, Darrell Holt serves as the minister of the church of Christ located in Pontiac, Michigan on Franklin Road. During his tenure thus far, he has developed and teaches an eight month course in Evangelism, re-established and teaches a Men’s Leadership Class, ordained an assistant minister, training two ministers, and developing a positive relationship with an existing minister, thus giving him four assistant ministers. Darrell Holt understands the importance of saving souls, but not only that, keeping them saved and faithful. Therefore, he re-established a beginners/new converts program. Under his leadership, and with the help of the exiting leaders, Evangelist Darrell Holt has brought many to Christ, including families placing their membership at the congregation. As a stepping ground, he hopes to establish a School of Evangelism.
Evangelist Darrell Holt’s continual goal is to serve God with his whole heart, mind, and soul, and teach others to do the same. Beginning with Pontiac, Darrell Holt plans to establish an after prison and substance abuse ministry, feed the hungry and clothe the less fortunate program, strengthen the youth, encourage the elderly, and build a positive image of the Church of Christ throughout the city and abroad.
As an Evangelist, one who lovingly and peacefully reaches out to people, and loves God, and the Church. Darrell Holt has gone, is going, and will continue to go the extra mile in trying to save all those that are lost and keep those that are saved, saved.
My Fair Lady Mrs. Anita, as she is affectionately called, was born May 25, 1958 in Chicago, Ill. Shortly afterwards, her family moved to Starkville, Mississippi where she grew up. She graduated from Starkville High School in 1976. She received an Associate Degree from Mary Holmes Junior College in West Point, Mississippi. She is a license and professional Cosmetologists.
Mrs. Anita is a faithful Christian woman. And she strongly supports her husband’s ministry. She participates in the work of the congregation as the Adult Ladies Class teacher. She has taught in the nursery department, assists with the Ladies Inspiration day, worked with the 8th Annual National Ministers Wives’ Conference, serves as the East Region’s activity director and secretary, and serves in an assistant capacity to the church’s secretary. Their motto for living is “The Lord’s Help”. As a mother she advises her children with wisdom and uses a stern hand of discipline and yet she is very humorous. |
